Hans Eric Melin, founder of Circular Energy Storage, has been invited by The uYilo eMobility Programme in South Africa to present Circular Energy Storage's latest data on the global second life market for lithium-ion batteries at the Batteries and Electric Vehicles Conference 2018, the 29th to 30th October in Port Elizabeth.

With less than a thousand electric vehicles on the road, South Africa is by no means an early adopter in the EV market. But both charging infrastructure and the number of vehicles is growing quickly. From a battery perspective the country and its neighbors is however more interesting for deployment of batteries. In 2030 the government's plan is that 25% of the energy will be generated by solar and wind which will increase the need and potential for energy storage solutions. With the uYilo eMobility programme, located at the Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth  (where also the conference will take place) the country also has a very competent research body with a great lab and research facility.

We look forward to discuss this with some brilliant people from the industry including Shmuel De-Leon from Shmuel De-Leon Energy, Christina Bu from the Norwegian EV Association, Craig Parker from Frost & Sullivan, and Wynand Goosen, founder of WattEV2Buy.
